Dear Friends:

It is with regret that I have to announce the postponement of the 2014 PPSA Conference due to inclement weather. The members of the Board have been monitoring the developments regarding Tropical Depression Domeng and due to information regarding the possibility of storm surges around the coastal areas around the area of Panay Island and surrounding islands, as well advise from our partners in UP Visayas, a decision was reached late yesterday afternoon not to push through with the conference on the planned dates of 10-11 April 2014.

I apologize for all the inconvenience (to say the least) that this must cause (and cost) those who planned to participate in the conference. The decision was not easy to make but it was made in the interest of safety of everyone involved. We will be coming out shortly with an announcement on when the conference will be re-scheduled, and we hope that in spite of this disappointment, we will still see you then.

Again, please accept my humblest apologies and my thanks for your continuing support for the PPSA.
